Properties Of Addition

Let Us Learn About Properties Of Addition

Commutative Property
Associative Property
Additive Identity Property
Distributive Property

Commutative Property:

When two numbers are to be added, the sum will be same value of an order with the addends.

Example: 9 + 6 = 6 + 9

a+b = b+a

Associative Property:

When three or more numbers are to be added, the sum will be same value of a group associate for addends.

Example: (2 + 8) + 9 =9+ (8 + 2)

(a+b) + c = c + (a+b)

Additive Identity Property:

The sum of any number with a zero is any number.

Example: 9 + 0 =3

a+ 0 = a

Distributive Property:

Distributive property, for the two numbers operators with whole will be same when the operator done with distributive.

Example: 4 * (2 + 6) = 4*2 + 4*6

a * ( b +c ) = a* b + a*c = ab+ac

We shall learn about subtraction in our next blog and properties of subtraction.
