Factors of 28

Hi Friends, Good Morning!!!

Let us learn about "Factors of 28"

Like concepts presented throughout the Montessori classroom, even those more abstract concepts of Mathematics have been made concrete for the children in our classrooms. Beginning with simple number concepts like understanding quantity and identifying numerals, the Math materials include advanced presentations in cubing numbers, factors, fractions, and mathematical operations.

Factors of 28:

Factors are the numbers used for dividing the given number exactly (with remainder 0).

For all the numbers 1 and the number itself will be definitely be a factor

There is a difference between factor and prime factor

In Prime factor the factor will be off only prime

But when finding the normal factor the factors are the possible multiples of the number

PRIME NUMBER

Prime numbers are divisible by 1 and the number itself. those numbers are called prime numbers.

All prime numbers have only two factors

The two factors are 1 and the number itself

COMPOSITE NUMBERS

Except prime numbers all the numbers are called composite numbers. But all the composite numbers will be having more than two factors

Given problem is find the factors of 28

Solution:

Factors of 28 are 1, 2, 4, 7, 14, and 28

So for 28 we have 6 factors

28 is a composite number too

In our next blog we shall learn about "trinomial factor calculator"

I hope the above explanation was useful.Keep reading and leave your comments.

perimeter of a triangle

Hi Friends, Good Afternoon!!!

Let us learn "how to find the perimeter of a triangle"

Introduction for perimeter of a triangle

A triangle is a three sided geometry shape which side length is a,b,c, may be this length may varies or may be in equal length.The perimeter(p) of a triangle is defined as the sum of all three sides that is which rounding figures.In case the length sides of a triangle are same then the triangle is equilateral.In this section we have the three sides 4 6 8 we have to find the perimeter of triangle by substitute in formula.

The distance around a closed plane figure is called the perimeter.

Problem

In Triangle STU the given sides are ST =13 cm, TU = 13 cm and US = 15 cm, find the perimeter of a triangle STU.

Solution

P = a + b +c

[Here we know that, (P) is the perimeter of a triangle; a, b and c are the side lengths of the triangle].

As we know that, the sum of the lengths of its sides is called the perimeter of a triangle.

[Here, ST =13 cm, TU = 13 cm and US = 15 cm, now put the values in place of a, b and c, then add the numbers together].

P = (13 + 13 +15) cm

Therefore, perimeter of a triangle (P) = 41 cm

In our next blog we shall learn about "triangles types"

I hope the above explanation was useful.Keep reading and leave your comments.

Molarity Calculator

Hi Friends, Good Afternoon!!!

Introduction to Molarity Calculator:

Molarity Calculator provides all options to calculate like Mass from volume & concentration, Volume from mass & concentration, Molarity from mass and also volume. Finally one can also find easy ways to dilute from a stock solution already available.

A solute dissolves in the solvent. The measure of solute dissolved in specific quantity of solution is called concentration.Molarity is unit of of concentration.Molarity is expressed as moles of solute dissolved in one liter of solution. So if 1 mole of NaCl is dissolved in one liter of solution], it is called 1molar solution of NaCl and denoted as 1M. Molarity is not same as molality.Both the terms differ. As mentioned above the units of molarity are moles/L

Let us consider some problems related to molarity.

Illustrative Problems Related to Molarity Calculations

Find the molarity of 116.8g NaCl dissolved in 1 liter of water. Molar mass of NaCl is 58.4

Step I- Find the number of moles of NaCl in 116.8g

Moles=Mass in g / Molar mass

Moles of NaCl =116.8 / 58.4

Moles=2

Step II Find molarity

Molarity =moles of solute NaCl / Volume of solution in L

=2 /1

Molarity =2 M

7 types of triangle

Hi Friends

Good Afternoon!!! How good are you in Geometry? Its good to see that we have many geometry problem solver these days online. How many tried drawing triangle.

Let us learn about 7 types of triangle.

Triangles are classified in two ways :

(i)On the basis of sides and,

(ii)On the basis of angles.

(i)According to sides

A triangle in which all the three sides are unequal in length is called a scalene triangle.

A triangle in which two of its sides are equal is called an isosceles triangle.

A triangle which has all its three sides equal in length is called an equilateral triangle.

A triangle which has all the three angles acute that is, less than 90
, is called an acute angled triangle or acute triangle

A triangle whose one angle is a right angle (that is 90) is called a right angled triangle or right triangle

In case of isosceles triangle, At least two sides congruent that is two sides are equal in measure and the unequal side of the isosceles triangle is referred to as base of the triangle. If third angle is a right angle then the triangle is said to be right isosceles triangle.

Practice makes man perfect, keep practicing to understand better.

Seven Types of triangle

Hi Friends

Good Afternoon!!!

Triangle

Hi Friends

Good Afternoon!!!

In our previous blog we learned draw angles an
d now we shall learn about " Triangles"

A triangle is a polygon with three sides.

A triangle is a closed figure formed by joining three non-collinear points.

The symbol for a triangle is /\ Triangle ABC is written as /\ABC.

The three non-collinear points A, B, C in figure forming a triangle ABC are called vertices of /\ABC.

In our next blog we shall learn about Interior of the triangle and Exterior of the triangle. Till then learn about symbols in mathematics.

Prime factors

Let Us Learn About Prime factors

Prime Factorization is the process of find which prime numbers you need to multiply together to get the original number. The process of find this number is called integer factorization, or prime factorization. Prime number does not have any factors apart form itself and 1, but 1 is not a prime number.

The prime numbers 30 are thus 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, and 29. A factor which is a prime number is called prime factor. All number can be expressed as a product of prime numbers.

If a number has only two different factors, 1 and itself, then the number is said to be a prime number.

For example, 31 = 1 × 31

31 is a prime number since it has only two different factors.

1= 1x1

But 1 is not a prime number since it does not have two different factors.

For example :

Factors of 14 are 1, 2, 7 and 14, out of these 2 and 7 are prime numbers; thus, 2 and 7 are prime factors of 14.

Also, 14 = 2x7

In the same way :

(i)Prime factors of 15 are 3 and 5; and 15 = 3x5 [here we need to break each given numbers i.e. 15 into its prime factor 3 and 5]

(ii)Prime factors of 42 are 2, 3 and 7; and 42 = 2x3x7 [here we need to break each given numbers into its prime factor]

(iii)Prime factors of 10 are 2 and 5; and 10 = 2x5 [here we need to break each given numbers into its prime factor]

Repeated Prime Factor :

Since, 8 = 2 x 2 x 2; 2 is said to be repeated prime factor of 8.

A number can have two or more different repeated prime factors.

(i)36 = 2 x 2 x 3 x 3[here we can observe that in the factor of 36 two different repeated prime numbers 2 and 3]

Therefore, the prime factors of 36 are 2,2,3 and 3.

(ii)108 = 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 3 [here we can observe that in the factor of 108 two different repeated prime numbers 2 and 3]

Therefore, the prime factors of 108 are 2,2,3,3 and 3.

(iii)225 = 3 x 3 x 5 x 5 [here we can observe that in the factor of 225 two different repeated prime numbers 3 and 5]

Therefore, the prime factors of 225 are 3,3,5 and 5.

(iv)100 = 2 x 2 x 5 x 5 [here we can observe that in the factor of 100 two different repeated prime numbers 2 and 5]

Therefore, the prime factors of 100 are 2,2,5 and 5.
